The lights are up again in town. I guess they get shoppers in the mood to open their wallets bigger! We make sure we have cameras in our handbags when we soak in the atmosphere.
I took the Orchard Road photo by stopping right in the middle of the pedestrian crossing between Wheelock Place and Shaw House. The green man stays on long enough to take several snaps. Meanwhile, Raffles City has a strange-hued tree - not really the Christmas red and green. And we never knew there is a brief sound-and-light show at Suntec City's fountain until we decided to get up to street level to get far from the shopping-mad crowd. Needless to say, there was an audience for the show plus a few oblivious courting couples on the benches.
I didn't take photo of the food cos it's usually plonked unceremoniously on the setting-less dinner table. And we were too full to even have the logcake this year! And the kids.... well, they wanted to get the food out of the way ASAP for obvious reasons. And this is how Santa gets around in chimney-less high-rise Singapore - through the windows, naturally!

Merry Christmas!
