Despite the heat, humidity and crowds, for some strange reason preparations for Chinese New Year doesn't seem complete without visiting Chinatown, even if we leave empty-handed. And at least, this time round, I took my EOS with me! No crappy, grainy camera-phone pix!

The Sarawak Kolo Mee shop was bustling with hungry shoppers. We had our fill of minced pork noodles at Hong Lim Complex.

Red, of course, is the couleur du jour!

A puppet show! Haven't seen these in years! Actually, never....

And what's this all about? Was tempted to pay up just to see what the guy was showing these women. Oh, but he has bad skin!

Really tacky. Jelly florets!

Guess even ducks get the Brazilian treatment!

The Buddha relic temple at Kreta Ayer had big lanterns in its compound.

Stick 'em up!

This had t be our last stop - it is air-conditioned and just a little away from the hustle and bustle. Still, the place was crowded.
